SYNOPSIS
“Every person is an island surrounded by objects from all sides”, this phrase from a book by Marcelo Xavier, was the starting point for the new dance production by the brazilian dance company ‘Meia Ponta’: “A Place That I Have Not Yet Been”. The show unfolds in the sense that you can only absorb knowledge by traveling the world’s seas. Making a strong point as the recurrent use of intrinsic objects to the child’s universe, ‘Meia Ponta’ proposes immersing the audience in an area where the organization is in the background and it is important to understand that playing is one of the possibilities to realize the world, others and yourself. The detachment in relation to objects, creativity and spontaneity of children are some brands that spectacle, without leaving aside the political importance of some issues, such as pollution of rivers and seas, “A Place That I Have Not Yet Been” entices children to think, act, get out in front of television and computer to create their own games. By sharpening children’s senses, the group invites the public to free your imagination and immerse yourself in a world of magic and fantasy.
